Steam or sauté these curly green leaves, or harvest the baby leaves to enjoy raw in salads. Tender blue-green leaves with a mildly sweet flavor. The plants are tall, vigorous, high yielding, and less sensitive to summer heat than some other kale varieties. 

 

Growing tip: Before transplanting, amend your soil with plenty of rich compost, and make sure to water deeply throughout the summer. Brassica plants prefer cool, moist growing conditions.
