This tasty Italian heirloom broccoli produces earthy, sweet, and mild flavors with a continuous harvest, thanks to offshoots on each plant. It is small to medium in size compared to other varieties of broccoli and has long, thin stems. Each plant produces a central head as well as offshoots with smaller heads. You can pick each head one at a time and get a continuous harvest. Space plants at least 18 inches apart, as they can get big!
Growing tip: Before transplanting, amend your soil with plenty of rich compost, and make sure to water deeply throughout the summer. Brassica plants prefer cool, moist growing conditions.
